I ultimately want to become a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. However, I have heard that if you go for family NP then you can later specialize in Womens Health and it may be easier to find a job after you graduate. Is this true that you can specialize later on and if so, how much extra schooling does that require? Also, my husband is in the military which means that we are out-of-state at the time being, but our state of residency remains Ohio. does this mean I can register as in state? Thank You in advanced. Heather

    • Hi Heather, each specialization has its own popularity. You ultimately want to research what specialty is more prominent in your area. Typically students who have an MSN and want to later specialize in another area, look for a post-master’s certificate program. You can click here to view UC’s on-campus post-master’s options. If you still hold an Ohio residence, then you are eligible for in-state tuition.

I’m currently enrolled in an FNP program but am concerned about the cost (more than double your tuition). Do you accept transfer students?
