Family Nurse Practitioner

FNP preceptors must be one of the following (depending on the course the specific preceptor needed may change):

  • Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Some hours are allowed with an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, or MD/DO (Internist, Family Practice, OB/GYN, Pediatrics).

    Preceptor-Would an Board Certified Emergency room doctor qualify?? Could I work in the Emergency room to get my clinical hours in the Family Nurse Practitioner program? Thanks.

      Hello Aaron, the emergency room is acceptable but there is additional information regarding the clinicals. Please call our office at (866) 225-6764 for clarification.

    Hi. I am currently enrolled in a BSN program that I will complete in December 2012. I am interested in applying for May 2013 FNP program. In order to apply, will I have already had to have received my BSN degree and have official transcripts? Thanks!

      Hi Kristen, to be eligible for admission you must have your conferred BSN before the first day of classes. The application deadline for the Summer 2013 Term is February 11, 2013. Please contact an Enrollment Advisor with any questions at (866) 225-6764
