Hello Arlene, no question is stupid. Upon successful completion of our NP programs, students will have earned a MSN degree. Our school is regionally accredited and our nursing program is accredited by CCNE. To determine if we are recognized by the California Board of nursing, we recommend that you reach out to them directly.

Hello Jenna, we no longer offer a Psych CNS program. Additionally our Adult Psych NP program will be suspended after Winter 2012.

It will be revised based on changing certifications with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). We do have additional course options available that are 100% online, allowing you to log-on at a time convenient for you within the syllabus and complete clinicals in your community. i have my rn license and am currently residing in california. I graduated from a foreign university which is not accredited by ccne or nlnac but is ISO certified and and accredited in my own country. am i still eligible to apply for FNP?

However, you will have to have your foreign university transcripts evaluated by World Education Services (WES) to determine your GPA is based on US standards. 1) This program requires a full-time coursework commitment by taking courses according to the prescribed course of study. Depending on the specialty, you will be taking 2-4 courses per term. We do want to clarify that the program can be considered part-time in financial aid terms due to the number of credit hours taken per term.
2) This program is 100% online. Clinicals are completed in your community.

I had a question about the Psychiatric CNS program, once the 2015 guidelines suggest that advance practice nurses will need to hold DNP’s, will this require a Psychiatric CNS to also hold one if he or she does psychotherapy?
